Q&A with Lorna Watson and Will Trotter of ‘Sister Boniface Mysteries’

Look out, bicycle-riding nuns of Nonnatus House! There’s a new Sister in town and she’s armed with an IQ of 156, a PhD in Forensic Science and a Vespa! Appearing in only one episode of the now possessor of 100 episodes, Father Brown, Sister Boniface is hell-bent (sorry) on helping to make the streets of Great Slaughter safe for everyone and not let it turn into Midsomer or the sleepy little village of Kembleford where there seems to be a murder every week!

Sister Boniface set to make Great Slaughter streets safe in 2022!

Armed with an IQ of 156 and a PhD in Forensic Science, popular Father Brown character Sister Boniface is getting her own spin-off series based on the character who first appeared in episode 6 of series 1 of Father Brown, “The Bride of Christ”. Lorna Watson will reprise her role from the popular BBC1 daytime series, which will focus on light-hearted “cozy” mysteries in a similar vein to Father Brown which stars Mark Williams as the crime-solving Roman Catholic priest.

‘Death in Paradise’ adds new crop of ‘victims/suspects’ for S11

Tamzin Outhwaite (New Tricks, Eastenders, Ridley Road) Nicholas Bailey (Sally4Ever), Jason Done (Waterloo Road), Ben Onwuke (Safe) and Ben Starr (Jamestown) join Death In Paradise for series 11. In addition to it being a bit hazardous to your health to live in a small English village, kudos to the DIP creator/writer, Robert Thorogood, for continuing to find some ingenious ways to kill off visitors to the picturesque fictional Carribean island of Saint Marie.

‘Call the Midwife’ adds youngest member of the Cusack family acting dynasty to S10 cast

Megan Cusack, the youngest member of the Cusack acting family dynasty has joined the cast of Call the Midwife for series 10. No relation to the American Cusack family dynasty of father Richard and siblings John, Joan or Ann, Megan is the niece of Irish actress sisters Niamh, Sorcha, Sinead and Catherine Cusack. She will play Irish student midwife Nancy Corrigan in episode 4 of series 10 which premieres on BBC1 Sunday night. Series 10 will tentatively air on PBS this Fall in the States.
